The Northside Rotary Club will hold its 2nd annual Spirit of Community Banquet on Monday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at the Fayetteville Town Center. The banquet will feature the toast and roast of former Razorback baseball coach Norm DeBriyn and the presentation of the Spirit of Community Award to Coach DeBriyn by the 2015 winner of the award, Joe Fennel.
Roasters of Coach DeBriyn include Razorback baseball head coach Dave Van Horn, former Razorback coach and Razorback Foundation exe…cutive director Harold Horton, former Razorback and St. Louis Cardinal catcher Tom Pagnozzi, and former Razorback second baseman, Bill Bakewell.
The 2nd annual Bobby Davis Community Service Award will also be presented, and the 2016 award will be presented by the 2015 winner, Larry Bittle. The award goes to the Northside Rotarian who best exemplifies Bobby Davis’ example of serving the community.
