8th Annual Chilirhea

The 8th annual Chilirhea, benefitting Alzheimer’s Arkansas and the Alzheimer’s Association, will be held February 23, 2013 from noon until 5pm at Jasper Spring Stables in Fayetteville. Benefitting those affected with Alzheimer’s disease and their families was an obvious choice as founding members had lost loved ones to the debilitating condition. Alzheimer’s is particularly hard on the family members, not to mention those directly affected by the disease. The goal for this year’s event is $25,000 and Chilirhea organizers expect close to 700 in attendance.
This year’s Keynote Speaker is Arkansas Lt. Governor Mark Darr and the event will include live music from Joe Giles and the Homewreckers, a silent auction, raffles and all the chili you can eat. Tickets will be on sale at the door the day of the event for $20 and an adult beverage arm band will also be available for an additional $10. Children 13 and younger are free.
