Mark your calendars! The Senior Safety Academy will be held at the Rogers Adult Wellness Center, located at 2001 W. Persimmon St. in Rogers, on Thursday, November 14 from 8am – 4:30pm. This event includes a full day of interesting speakers with valuable information on senior safety issues. Some of the topics that will be covered include Identity Theft, Scams Targeting Seniors, Local Gangs, Water Safety, Learn CPR and Protecting Our Community’s Children. You can also take an emergency helicopter tour. This is a free event sponsored by the S.A.L.T. (Seniors And Law-officers Together) Council which was formed as a working organization dedicated to the protection and wellbeing of elder citizens. In addition to the speakers, there will be local business vendors there to share information about their products and services. We will have a booth set up, so please stop by and see us!
