The 3rd Annual Stepping Up the Pace Walk/Run benefiting the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation will be held Saturday, October 6 from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Pat Walker Center for Seniors in Fayetteville. The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation is a leading national presence in Parkinson’s disease research, education and public advocacy. They are working for the nearly one million people in the US who live with Parkinson’s by funding promising scientific research while supporting people living with Parkinson’s through educational programs and services. The event registration fee is $10 and includes an event t-shirt, breakfast, 1-Mile Walk/Run, healthcare booths and information, a silent auction and an educational lecture by Alan Diamond, D.O. – Stepping Up the Pace With PD: The Impact of Physical Activity.
