The Northwest Arkansas Heart Walk to benefit the American Heart Association of Northwest Arkansas will be held Saturday, April 13 at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale.

The 15th Annual Race for the Cure will be held at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall in Rogers on Saturday, April 27 starting at 7:30 am.

The 4th annual Singing for Spays is slated to be held at Dog Party USA in Tontitown on Saturday, April 27 from 5:30-7:30 pm.

The inaugural MANA Charitable Fund Spring Fling 5K and Family Fun Run will be Saturday, March 30 from 8-11 am at the North Hills Medical Park in Fayetteville.

The 20th Annual Washington Regional Gala and Eagle Awards, “An Evening with Kool and the Gang” will be Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 pm at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville.

The 8th annual Chilirhea, benefitting Alzheimer’s Arkansas and the Alzheimer’s Association, will be held February 23, 2013 from noon until 5pm at Jasper Spring Stables in Fayetteville.

In case you haven’t heard, the New Year brought a new law recently signed by the President. To avoid the country from falling off the “fiscal cliff,” the “American Taxpayer Relief Act” was approved on New Year’s Day.

There are only a few days left before the clock strikes midnight on December 31st and the tax law changes. Or will it?
